Description
This course trains U.S. Religious Support Teams to provide compassionate, structured care after a suicide death or attempt in the military community, known as suicide postvention. Learners practice clear communication about suicide, support bereaved families and units, and advise leaders and Suicide Response Teams. Topics include planning memorials and funerals, addressing stigma and contagion risk, supporting survivors of suicide attempts, and using spiritual care while maintaining personal well-being during postvention response.
